The company has long admitted that their game’s success hinges on being free-to-play, and that most of their users have never played another video game before. Earlier this year, Roblox representatives stated, "Our game is one of the most graphically depressing experiences you can imagine. It’s a mix of recurring pop-up microtransactions and clickbait images that make you hate yourself after 4 minutes, but that doesn’t stop us from growing. People keep giving us money, and we honestly don’t know why."

Statements like this ring true when you look at the numbers: The "Poopy Chicken Nugget" skin alone brought in an estimated $600 million in revenue last year alone.

As Roblox allows these adults to continue playing even after being caught on the platform, one has to wonder how this will affect the game’s player base in the future. Perhaps a day will come when the only people left in the game are pedophiles pretending to be kids, playing with other pedophiles also pretending to be kids.
